Our Graphene Quality

High Quality 3 to 6 Layer Graphene

Carboncore Technologies produces high-purity few-layer graphene consisting predominantly of 3–6 layer graphene sheets, exhibiting excellent crystallinity, minimal structural disorder, and uniformity across the tested area.

To verify the structural quality and layer number of the produced material, Raman spectroscopy was conducted at different points on the sample surface.

The Raman spectra consistently exhibited a G band between 1577 and 1580 cm⁻¹ and a 2D band between 2703 and 2713 cm⁻¹. The intensity ratio (I₂D/I_G) averaged around 0.5, reflecting a well-ordered sp² carbon network with moderate interlayer coupling. These parameters strongly indicate the presence of few-layer graphene, typically 3 to 6 atomic layers thick. The small variation in G-band position and the uniformity of the 2D band across multiple measurement points demonstrate high consistency in our synthesis process and excellent sample uniformity.

Our findings align closely with results reported in several recent studies.

For instance, Silva et al. (Carbon, 2020) developed a Raman-based framework for layer-number estimation in mass-produced graphene, showing that samples with I₂D/I_G < 1 and a 2D band near 2710 cm⁻¹ correspond to 3–5-layer graphene.

Similarly, Paton et al. (Materials, 2023) reported G and 2D bands at approximately 1580 cm⁻¹ and 2700–2720 cm⁻¹ respectively for few-layer graphene obtained from scalable exfoliation processes.

Islam et al. (Nanomaterials, 2021) described coal-derived few-layer graphene with I₂D/I_G ratios between 0.3 and 0.7, closely matching the values observed in our measurements.

Finally, Ott (2024) summarized in a review that G-band positions between 1575–1585 cm⁻¹, 2D-band positions between 2690–2720 cm⁻¹, and I₂D/I_G ratios of 0.4–0.6 are typical indicators of few-layer graphene — precisely the range corresponding to our sample.

These results validate the credibility of our production process and establish the structural integrity of Carboncore graphene for both industrial applications and research-grade use.
